BBF Women initially met as a group twice monthly.
These meetings were a platform where the younger and older ladies learned to pray, worship, testify, fellowship, prophesy and minister the word.
Some meetings were in fact practical sessions in baking and in the art of cooking. One sister subsequently made her living by selling tarts and pastries from the knowledge gained.
As the church grew, the Eagles Youths, comprising women 35 years and over, and the Daughters of Zion, comprising women 25 to 35 years emerged and met independently until the generation gap was bridged resulting in one meeting of both groups.
Retreats at the Royal Antigua, Jolly Beach and Beachcomber Hotels, Conferences, Social Gatherings at BBF and interaction with other groups, became a means of accomplishing our goals of outreach and motivation.
The women developed into pillars of counselling, intercession, deliverance, caring for the less fortunate families in very practical ways, cleaning and preparation of the places of worship.
Our purpose as Eagles Youths and Daughters of Zion:
- Teaching women to love God
- To mature spiritually in order to be good examples in the church, home and community
- To build relationships, learning from each other
- To be intercessors/prayer warriors in the Kingdom of God
- To accomplish our goals through retreats, conferences, studying of the word and social gatherings
